Love the work that they do Helping Patients even after they leave treatment Flexibility in scheduling Really enjoy co-workers and the Teamwork Qualifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains all closed medical records Responds to requests for medical records Pulls records as requested by staff including daily pulls for appointments Files documentation presented by clinical staff With appropriate, signed request for information, copies records upon appropriate request for billing, legal services, or medical records requests Request historical records from other organizations according to policy. Knows standards for medical records maintenance and ensures compliance with all ADP and Joint Commission requirements. Tracks information needed to meet medical record standards, auditing the records and ensuring the records are complete before they are closed. Keeps supervisor informed of problems or issues; monitors supplies needed Performs all other duties as required or assigned. Education And Experience Medical Records or Job-Related field certification preferred; Associates Degree in Job-Related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with medical records preferred.
