Location: Chicago Heights, IL Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Setting: School-Based Schedule: Full-Time Assignment: 20262027 School Year | Contract Position
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN School Nurse for a full-time 1:1 position in Chicago Heights, IL. The nurse will provide dedicated care and support to one medically fragile student throughout the school day.
Position Details
- Full-time, MondayFriday
- 1:1 nursing assignment with one medically fragile student
- Provide direct nursing care and monitor the student's health throughout the school day
- Follow the student's individualized healthcare plan
- Monitor for changes in condition and respond appropriately to medical needs
- Communicate and collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license
- Previous pediatric, school nursing, or medically fragile experience preferred
- Comfortable working one-on-one with a medically complex student
- Strong communication and clinical judgment skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently
