Forms Processing Associate

Job Overview The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is recruiting a Forms Processing Associate (Administrative Associate II (S)). This onsite position is located at NCDOR Headquarters, 501 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27604, and reports to the Submissions Processing Division (SPD). The major purpose of this position is to review and prepare all tax schedules and documents, process them through scanners and post them to the Department’s Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), Document Management System (DMS), and Public Sector Revenue Management System (PSRM). The position will close at 11:59 P.M. the day prior to the end date listed on the posting. Responsibilities Review and prepare all tax schedules/documents, process them through scanners, and post to ITAS, DMS, and PSRM. Maintain inventory reports, handle secure documents, prepare and destroy Federal Tax Information (FTI). Print and process electronically submitted forms and present data to leadership as needed. Manage scanned records and returns awaiting destruction according to retention schedules. Process email queues: research and pull documents for DMS. Assist in seasonal staff preparation: update training materials, create power‑points, secure supplies, create folders, submit timesheets, and prepare work areas. Perform physical tasks, including sorting documents, lifting batches up to 25lbs, and moving/harnessing hampers and carts weighing up to 500lbs. Adjust working hours and overtime up to 2hours Monday‑Friday and up to 8hours on Saturdays during peak periods. Qualifications High school diploma or GED with at least one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of data collection, storage, and organization of printed and electronic information. Ability to convey information and ideas through various media to individuals or groups, including explaining and interpreting inventory reports and correspondences. Demonstrated experience using office equipment and technology (software and systems) to meet work needs. Experience with sorting, tubbing, and delivering mail. Subject to federal and state criminal background checks, including verification of tax compliance (must have filed and paid all North Carolina state taxes owed). Compensation & Benefits Recruitment range: $31,200–$39,000 (effective July1,2025). Health insurance options. Standard and supplemental retirement plans, NCFlex program. Twelve paid holidays per year.
