Materials Planner

Material Planner Onsite San Antiono, TX (must be local/onsite) The hours for this position are 5:30am - 4pm Monday-Thursday per hour Local Candidates ONLY to San Antonio, TX. Material Planning includes but is not limited to: Running exception reports and communicating with the supply base on potential part issues. There are opportunities to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, customer response center, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls. Material planners are responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the production cycle. Responsibilities Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering Develops specifications for new contract orders Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree OR At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current *** employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. *** does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills MS Office Knowledge with Excel Good Organizational Skills Good Communication Skills Intuitive Proactive Sense of Urgency
