Occasional Election Aide

Election Support Services

Under immediate supervision, assists in many areas of the Election Board with a variety of tasks by performing the following duties:

Perform filing and data entry.

Answer incoming calls for registration, absentee and precinct departments.

Process mail and material handling.

Alphabetize and redate Absentee envelopes.

Process ballots.

Assist with precinct supply checkout.

Perform other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to three months related experience and/or training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position; position self (to), move; communicate, convey, express oneself, exchange information; detect, perceive, identify, recognize, observe, inspect, assess. The employee is occasionally required to move or transverse; operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, detect, position. The employee must frequently transport, move, position, put, install up to 10 pounds, and occasionally transport, move, position, put, install up to 25 pounds.

While performing this job the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
