Job Description Install electrical systemsRun conduit and wiringAssist with installing outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and fixturesSupport journeyman and master electriciansCarry tools and materialsPrepare work areasFollow instructions for installations and repairsRead and follow plansLearn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical codesPerform basic electrical tasksMeasure, cut, and bend conduitPull and label wireMake simple connections (as allowed by license level)Test and troubleshootUse meters and testing tools to check circuitsHelp identify faults under supervisionMaintain jobsite safetyFollow OSHA rules and electrical safety practices Skills & Abilities Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic writing and reading skills. Basic mathematics skills. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Must use all power tools, saws, drills, threaders, wire taggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches. Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers. Preferred Qualifications 1-2years for the apprentices Amount of Travel Required 20% - 40% Driving Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. Pay Range Min USD $20.93 Pay Range Max USD $32.42 Additional Pay Range Information CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training. Additional Compensation All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
