management.\n\nPosition Summary\nThe Transportation Quality & Load Securement Supervisor (QC Supervisor) is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and quality management of concrete pile transportation operations under the HPLS Project.\nThe QC Supervisor oversees QC activities at both the GCP loading site and HPLS delivery site, ensuring that all concrete piles are properly inspected, loaded, secured, transported, unloaded, and documented in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety and quality standards.\nThis position provides direct supervision and guidance to QC Inspectors and serves as a key liaison among Operations, Dispatch, Drivers, GCP personnel, HPLS personnel, Customer QC representatives, Safety Management, and other stakeholders.\n\nThe QC Supervisor is responsible for maintaining consistent inspection standards, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, preventing transportation-related damage, identifying and escalating non-conformances, and supporting the resolution of quality disputes.\nThe position plays a critical role in maintaining shipment traceability, protecting product integrity, reducing transportation damage claims, and ensuring compliance with HAI, GUS, HPLS, and GET Freight quality and operational requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Overall QC Operations Supervision\n\nSupervise and coordinate daily QC operations at both GCP and HPLS.\nEstablish and maintain consistent inspection procedures across all QC personnel.\nAssign QC personnel based on daily shipment volume and operational requirements.\nMonitor QC staffing levels and recommend additional resources when operational volume increases.\nEnsure QC Inspectors perform all required inspections and documentation accurately and consistently.\nConduct daily coordination with Operations and Dispatch regarding shipment volume, scheduling, and QC requirements.\nEnsure continuous QC coverage during loading, transportation arrival, unloading, and delivery activities.\nIdentify operational risks and implement corrective actions proactively.\n\n Pre-Loading Quality Control\n\nSupervise inspection of concrete piles before loading.\nEnsure QC Inspectors identify cracks, chips, surface defects, dimensional issues, and other visible non-conformances.\nVerify product identification, markings, shipment numbers, and traceability information.\nConfirm proper storage and handling conditions before loading.\nEnsure damaged or questionable piles are properly identified, documented, photographed, and escalated before shipment.\nEstablish shipment release criteria and prevent unauthorized release of non-conforming products.\n\n Loading & Load Securement Supervision\n\nSupervise QC inspection during loading operations.\nEnsure proper loading, stacking, blocking, bracing, and cargo securement procedures are followed.\nVerify truck and flatbed suitability before loading.\nEnsure tie-downs, chains, straps, blocking materials, and other securement equipment are properly applied.\nConduct or oversee post-loading inspections to verify load stability and balance.\nEnsure loading procedures comply with applicable safety and cargo securement requirements.\nImmediately address unsafe loading practices or improper securement conditions.\n\n Delivery & Unloading Quality Control\n\nSupervise QC activities upon truck arrival at the HPLS delivery site.\nEnsure concrete piles are inspected before and after unloading.\nVerify transportation-related damage, including cracks, chips, breakage, deformation, load shifting, and handling impact.\nSupervise unloading operations to minimize the risk of secondary damage.\nEnsure proper product placement after unloading.\nConfirm delivery acceptance, rejection, or damage status based on documented inspection results.\nEnsure any damage identified at delivery is immediately documented and communicated to the appropriate parties.\n\n QC Documentation & Record Management\n\nEstablish and maintain standardized QC documentation procedures.\nEnsure 100% completion of required:\n\nPre-loading inspection records\nLoading checklists\nClean Sheets\nPODs\nDelivery tickets\nDamage reports\nPhoto documentation\nShipment verification records\n\nReview QC reports submitted by QC Inspectors for completeness and accuracy.\nEnsure photographs clearly document product condition before loading, after loading, upon delivery, and after unloading when required.\nMaintain organized and traceable QC records for each shipment.\nEnsure daily QC reports are submitted within the required timeframe.\nIdentify documentation gaps and implement corrective actions.\n\n Damage Prevention & Non-Conformance Management\n\nEstablish proactive measures to prevent concrete pile transportation damage.\nMonitor recurring damage patterns and identify potential root causes.\nReview damage incidents and determine whether issues may be related to loading, securement, transportation, unloading, or pre-existing product conditions.\nEnsure objective photographic and documentary evidence is collected for damage claims.\nIssue or support Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.\nDevelop corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality issues.\nEscalate significant or disputed damage incidents to Operations Management, Safety Management, Site Management, and Customer QC representatives.\nSupport formal investigations and resolution of damage disputes.\n\n QC Inspector Supervision & Training\n\nProvide daily direction and supervision to QC Inspectors.\nTrain new QC personnel on inspection procedures, documentation standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.\nConduct periodic refresher training to maintain consistency among QC personnel.\nEvaluate QC Inspector performance and identify training or performance improvement needs.\nEnsure QC personnel understand HPLS project requirements and customer-specific quality standards.\nEstablish clear accountability for inspection accuracy and documentation completeness.\nPromote consistent application of QC standards across GCP and HPLS.\n\n Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination\n\nServe as a primary QC contact for HAI, GUS, HPLS, GCP, and other customer or project representatives.\nCoordinate closely with Operations, Dispatch, Drivers, Safety, Billing, and Site Management.\nProvide timely updates regarding shipment readiness, quality issues, damage incidents, and operational risks.\nRespond promptly to customer QC inquiries and requests.\nSupport customer meetings, quality reviews, audits, and operational improvement initiatives.\nMaintain professional and objective communication when handling quality disputes or non-conformance issues.\n\n Quality Reporting & Performance Management\n\nPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC performance reports as required.\nMonitor shipment quality and documentation trends.\nTrack transportation damage incidents and identify recurring issues.\nReview QC performance against established KPIs.\nProvide management with recommendations for improving quality, safety, and operational efficiency.\nMaintain accurate records supporting customer reporting and internal management reviews.\n\n Continuous quality reviews\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n2+ years of experience in quality inspection, transportation operations, construction materials, industrial logistics, or a related field preferred.\nPrevious supervisory or lead experience preferred.\nStrong understanding of cargo securement, transportation safety, and material handling practices.\nAbility to identify visible structural defects and transportation-related damage.\nStrong documentation, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.\nAbility to supervise multiple QC personnel and coordinate operations across multiple locations.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work effectively in outdoor operational environments and active loading/unloading areas.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nBasic computer and mobile device proficiency.\nAbility to prepare and review inspection reports, photographs, checklists, and quality records.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience in industrial transportation, heavy haul, steel, concrete, or construction material operations.\nPrevious QC Supervisor, QC Lead, Safety Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor experience.\nKnowledge of DOT/FMCSA cargo securement requirements.\nExperience working at plant sites, yards, ports, construction sites, or industrial project environments.\nExperience with inspection reporting and quality documentation systems.\nExperience handling transportation damage claims or quality disputes.\nExperience with customer-facing quality management.\nKorean/English
