We offer products and services to the business community primarily through financing programs with equipment manufacturers, distributors, and dealers.The Vice President of Credit is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's Credit Policy and Credit Procedures & Guidelines, risk management, and lending strategy. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on oversight of underwriting, portfolio management, and credit policy, ensuring timely and sound credit decisions in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The VP of Credit plays a highly visible and collaborative role, partnering closely with originations, sales, and executive leadership.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and continuously refine credit policies, credit procedures and guidelines, underwriting standards, and risk frameworksAlign credit strategy with overall business goals, growth targets, and risk appetiteResponsible for building and developing a team with a focus on critical thinking, staff development, and driving performance and results.Serve as a voting member of the NewLane Management Credit CommitteeMonitor economic trends and adjust credit policies accordinglyOversee credit risk across all sales segments (ex. syndications, vendor, end-user, broker)Provide hands-on review and approval of middle-market and complex transactions (e.g., $250K+)Incorporate economic trends, industry outlooks, and market conditions into decision-makingMaintain credit files, audit readiness, and strong documentation standardsMaintain strong cross-functional relationships with all key stakeholders, including but not limited to the Board of Directors, Regulators, and cross-functional teams of WSFS Bank including the Risk Administration & Reporting, Credit Review, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance and AuditOversee development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of credit scoring models for underwriting and portfolio monitoringBe an active participant in Senior Leadership meetings, contributing thoughts and ideas to help achieve NewLane's goals and objectives, presenting performance metrics and policies to the Credit Committee and Board of DirectorsEnsures regulatory compliance within the underwriting functionQualifications:Demonstrates NewLane's values of Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, and Commitment to Excellence.Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required.Minimum 10+ years' experience in credit and equipment finance underwriting5 years' experience in a leadership position, including managing up to 10+ employeesUnderstanding of credit and underwriting operations, including experience with scoring models.Experience in small ticket equipment finance desiredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and computer literacy skills required.Good working knowledge of other functional departments (i.e., Sales, Funding, Servicing, Collections, etc.) and their interactions with the Credit department.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Candidate should be self-motivated and possess a desire to learn.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with sense of urgency.Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will receive competitive compensation, excellent benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401k) with match, flexible spending, Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, generous PTO, and much more…NewLane Finance is an equal opportunity employer.
