Education Welfare Officer – Position available from September 2026 Job Overview We are looking for an Education Welfare Officer to work with our pastoral team. The objective of the team is to ensure the highest possible standards of progress, achievement, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing of a cohort of students. Responsibilities Support students to access education fully, addressing and removing barriers to learning. Collaborate with students and parents to promote positive behaviour, attendance and progress. Work with school staff and external agencies to address family needs that impact student behaviour, attendance and academic progress. Act as a non‑teaching member of the pastoral team, contributing to the overall welfare of the cohort. Benefits Salary: £28,142 – £31,022 pro rata. Term‑time only pay is calculated on 38 weeks of teaching, plus public holidays (1.6 weeks) and annual leave (27 days for less than 5 years’ service, 32 days for longer service).
