The Community You Will Join: Our team owns global compensation accounting for Airbnb, covering payroll, equity, and benefits across all regions. We partner closely with teams including Benefits, Payroll Operations, Equity Administration, Talent, the Compensation Team, Financial Reporting, and Technical Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. We operate in a fast-paced environment supporting an accelerated close schedule, requiring strong collaboration and attention to detail. This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting processes and cross-functional partnerships within a global organization. The Difference You Will Make: Airbnb is looking for a highly qualified Total Compensation Accountant to join the Global Compensation Accounting team supporting Airbnb’s rapid and sustained global growth. The candidate will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing payroll related balance sheet and P&L accounts and ensuring transactions are processed and reported in the company’s financial system. The ideal candidate will have outstanding problem solving skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast–paced, high-growth environment. Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines consistently and capability to work well under pressure is a must. A Typical Day: Perform month and quarter end close activities, including journal entries, detail and summary level analysis of impacts to the balance sheet and income statement, balance sheet account reconciliations, and reporting schedules Support global Payroll Operations, Equity Administration, and Benefits teams with accounting knowledge Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other tasks as assigned Collaborate with all parts of Finance, Legal & Talent to ensure accurate financial statements Ensure SOX compliance with key controls & accurate GAAP reporting and fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements Support transitions and knowledge transfer, monitoring critical deliverables Leverage AI, technology, and expertise to streamline accounting processes Be a confident problem solver in a solutions-orientated environment Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm PST (11am to 8 pm EST) Your Expertise: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred Public accounting experience preferred Minimum of 3 years experience Strong verbal, written, analytical, organization and critical thinking skills Self starter with the ability to form conclusions and present findings Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience using AI tools to automate processes and drive efficiency gains Experience with ERP systems, Workday and/or Oracle Our Commitment To Inclusion & Belonging: Airbnb is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Pay Range

$87,000 — $102,000 USD
