Your Responsibilities at a Glance

• Own reliability for core assets: extruders, grinders, shredders, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and supporting mechanical systems.
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance; record all work precisely in our CMMS.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical issues with safety as the first priority.
• Assist with installs, modifications, and light fabrication to improve equipment performance.
• Partner with production on operation, cleaning, and setup to reduce downtime.
• Maintain an orderly, safe workspace and follow OEM procedures and standards.
• Communicate clearly across shifts to ensure seamless handoffs.

Experience & Knowledge

• Mechanical background in industrial/manufacturing settings; entry-level candidates are welcome .
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Hands-on familiarity with bearings, belts, chains, and power transmission systems.
• Extrusion experience is helpful but not required.
• Welding/fabrication skills are a plus.
• Electrical exposure (VFDs, motors, PLC troubleshooting) is a plus; mechanical capability is the priority .

Environment & Schedule

• Lift up to 65 lbs; perform physically demanding tasks.
• Work around moving machinery, noise, and temperature swings.
• Comfort with climbing, heights, and confined-space tasks.
• Rotate shifts, work some weekends, and take turns in an on-call rotation.
