Food & Beverage Supervisor

Description Four Points by Sheraton Tampa Airport Westshore, managed by StepStone Hospitality, is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. The Food & Beverage Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the hotel's front-of-house Food & Beverage operations while ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient daily operations, and consistent adherence to hotel standards. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced restaurant, bar, banquet, or hotel Food & Beverage professional who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory role. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support daily Food & Beverage operations during assigned shifts. Provide hands-on leadership to servers, bartenders, banquet associates, and other Food & Beverage team members as assigned. Ensure guests receive friendly, professional, efficient, and attentive service. Monitor restaurant, bar, banquet, and other Food & Beverage service areas to ensure established standards are consistently maintained. Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure assigned areas are properly prepared for service. Assign duties and provide direction to associates based on business volume and operational needs. Assist with training, coaching, and developing Food & Beverage associates. Monitor associate performance and address service or operational concerns promptly. Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns and assist with service recovery when necessary. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements. Monitor cleanliness, organization, appearance, and readiness of Food & Beverage areas. Assist with banquet and event setup and execution when needed. Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure accurate and timely food service. Assist with inventory, supplies, and operational controls as assigned. Support proper cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures. Communicate effectively with Food & Beverage leadership and other hotel departments regarding operational needs and guest concerns. Help maintain appropriate staffing and productivity based on business levels. Lead by example and promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership. Qualifications Previous Food & Beverage experience required, preferably in a hotel, full-service restaurant, bar, banquet, or hospitality environment. Previous supervisory, lead, or shift-leader experience preferred. Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide direction and support to associates while remaining actively involved in daily operations. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of restaurant and/or bar service standards. Experience with POS systems preferred. Food safety and responsible alcohol-service certifications preferred or ability to obtain required certifications. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs . Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with restaurant, banquet, and Food & Beverage operations.
