Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a STEMI and stroke receiving center, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Cath Lab experience.

Details

Acute care hospital serving as a STEMI and Stroke receiving center with 4 labs. Supports cardiac, EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neuro, and interventional radiology procedures. Procedures include TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, diagnostic and interventional neuro, and IR. Uses Epic charting system. Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. On-call required weekdays 1730-0700 and weekends/holidays 0700-0700, with 10-14 call shifts within a 42 day schedule. Requires floating between specialties within the lab and potentially between sister facilities.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in Cath Lab required. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (RCIS accepted), Fluoro Permit. Compact state license required and must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable. Community hospital experience required. Stroke or IR experience preferred; EP/structural heart experience not required. Skills in EKG lead placement, access site prep, room circulation, sterile field maintenance. Experience with angioplasty, vascular studies, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac cath lab procedures preferred.

Additional Information

Responsibilities include procedural support, equipment setup, accurate monitoring, and stocking supplies. Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff. First-time travelers accepted. Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility. Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent, travel, or per-diem staff. 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting. RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; minimal RTO preferred to avoid delays. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate. Located in a beachside acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds.
