Lead Mechanic

Lead Mechanic Position Summary: We’re hiring a Mechanic Lead responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the AMR company. This is a key role in assisting our Fleet Manager in the oversight of daily operations in our maintenance facility to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities: Performs all Front-Line Mechanic maintenance activities assigned by Fleet Manager. Mechanic Lead will rotate on-call duties with Fleet Manager. Employee scheduling and ensuring the quality of work performed meets department standards and work is completed as scheduled. Provides input to Fleet Manager for employee evaluation and progress report purposes as well as assist in the training of new hires. Ensuring cost effectiveness of all fleet maintenance programs and assists Fleet Manager in development of new maintenance programs. Mechanic Lead maintains required vehicle records. This may include data entry, parts ordering, etc. Utilizes parts computer program to locate needed parts and verify correct application. Qualifications: Electrical diagnosis experience with ability to read and comprehend schematics. Must have a full set of personal tools. Must have a current valid driver’s license. Journeyman level experience. 5 years of basic automotive experience. ASE Certifications (Combination A1-A8 – Mandatory Brake Certification ASE or equivalent). ASE 609 or equivalent Certification. Valid State Driver's license. Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor. Interrelationships: Operations Support.
