Teach in our toddler classroom, working with children 24 to 36 months. Teach in our toddler classroom, working with children from 24 to 36 months. At this age the hardest work children do is play, and almost everything islearned through toys and games. The classrooms are theme based, with learningcenters and a range of materials, and the approach is hands-on — children learnby experimenting and exploring rather than by being talked at. What the day looks like Alongside Language Arts, Number Concepts, Arts and Crafts, and fine and grossmotor skills, much of the year is spent on self-help: graduating from a sippycup to a regular cup, letting go of the pacifier, using forks and spoons, tablemanners, and learning to use the bathroom. Potty training is done in partnershipwith parents. Children are encouraged to sing, repeat nursery rhymes and build vocabulary. Youwould track daily activities so families can see how their child’s day went. What we are looking for A CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or an Associate degree 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it A DFPS background check, or willingness to complete one Why here Our teachers stay.
