Warehouse WorkerThe primary role of a Warehouse Worker is to efficiently manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items, recording data manually or using computer systems.Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts and investigating discrepancies or adjusting errors.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in designated areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Detail-oriented.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Experience in shipping and receiving.Inspection skills.Attention to detail and ability to read/write English is required.Why Work Here?We offer a supportive work environment that values teamwork and safety compliance. Employees must be willing and able to stand for at least 8 hours and perform tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting. Safety is a priority, and compliance with regulations is mandatory.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Northlake, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
