Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all HVAC service operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop service technicians, dispatch personnel, and support staff to maximize productivity, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workforce planning to ensure efficient service delivery and optimal resource utilization.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service performance, customer satisfaction, profitability, and technician productivity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and overall department performance.
- Drive growth of the service department by expanding maintenance agreements, repair services, equipment upgrades, and replacement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and convert service-generated leads into project opportunities.
- Develop strategies to increase service revenue, improve customer retention, and achieve profitability targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring prompt resolution of concerns and a high level of client satisfaction.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance for complex HVAC service issues and escalated customer concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Oversee inventory control, equipment readiness, vehicle fleet coordination, and resource management.
- Prepare and present operational, financial, and sales performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of HVAC service experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Demonstrated success in growing service revenue and achieving sales and profitability goals.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, customer service, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience utilizing service management, dispatch, and CRM software platforms.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Current State of Iowa Mechanical License or equivalent state-recognized license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA Certification.
- NATE Certification or equivalent industry credential.
- Experience managing both residential and commercial HVAC service operations.
