DoD Travel Claims Specialist Secret Clearance Eligible

Position: Administrative Disbursing (AD) Specialists Location: Virginia Beach, VA Job Id: 1451-M076 - 23P-NM-744 # of Openings: 4 Administrative Disbursing (AD) Specialists Minimum Qualifications Summary Certification & Education High School Diploma Posses and/or eligible for a SECRET Security Clearance Experience Required Experience in disbursing travel claim background with a minimum of four (4) years of experience processing travel claims within the Integrated Automated Travel System (IA TS). Minimum four (4) years technical experience with DoD travel liquidation procedures. Previous experience in the DoD community is highly desirable, as military, Government civilian, or Contractor. Job Objective The requiring agency is U.S. Special Operations Command located in Virginia Beach, VA. The AD Specialists shall provide support to administrative tasks such as: review, correct and document travel documentation, download reports from Travel Processing and Automated Examination system (TP AX), Integrated Automated Travel System (IA TS), Defense Travel System (DTS), Citi Bank CitiManager, and perform customer service functions. Responsible for all Temporary Assigned Duty (TAD) travel voucher requests, funded or "no cost orders," for command. Responsibilities Download, process and perform analysis of travel data from TP AX, IA TS and DTS reports. Assist with military and civilian travel payments, voucher preparation and administrative maintenance ofTPAX, IATS and DTS. Analyze and audit travel reimbursement vouchers for completeness and accuracy. Review and verify all receipts in travel vouchers. Assist with Travel Management Department, N84, to support voucher processing for travel worldwide. Assist in processing the submissions of travel vouchers via IA TS and DTS by military and Department of Defense (DoD) civilian personnel after receipt of travel claim. Ensure vouchers are correct and comply with Joint Travel Regulations. Contact travelers regarding receipt or erroneous documentation required for payment. Provide technical travel voucher and IA TS/ DTS guidance to military and civilian personnel in travel voucher review functions. Review and route for approval recommended reconciliation of airfare costs charged to Individually Billed Accounts (IBAs), to include validating airfare refunds to prevent travel overpayments. Track, follow-up and file documentation that supports letters of appointment (DD577). Education & Certification High School Diploma Posses and/or eligible for a SECRET Security Clearance Qualifications Experience in disbursing travel claim background with a minimum of four ( 4) years of experience processing travel claims within the Integrated Automated Travel System (IA TS). Minimum four (4) years technical experience with DoD travel liquidation procedures. Previous experience in the DoD community is highly desirable, as military, Government civilian, or Contractor. Familiar with common document types utilized by the DoD disbursing enterprise. General Requirements Possess a valid state driver's license. Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing. Enter data into multiple databases accurately. Possess and/or be eligible for a SECRET Security Clearance.
