Inventory Control Supervisor

Spherion is hiring for a vital inventory control role in Indianapolis. The position blends warehouse and distribution responsibilities and offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities for forklift certification. Schedule Monday–Thursday 6:30 AM–4:40 PM, Friday 6:30 AM–11:00 AM. Starting Rate $18.00 /hr (additional pay for forklift certification). Responsibilities Serve as the backbone of inventory accuracy, ensuring production lines have the parts and materials they need. Conduct daily cycle counts of production materials and assist with year‑end counts. Partner closely with Distribution Specialists to ensure overall inventory accuracy. Maintain, distribute, and restock incoming production materials using the Kanban system. Fulfill specific material requests and execute inventory transfers. Complete daily scrap documentation for the Wheel Build and Printer areas. Manage and replenish weekly production consumables. Follow established SOPs and work instructions to ensure compliance. Skills Forklift and reach truck experience preferred. Education No degree required. Experience 1–4 years of relevant experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a cross‑functional team. Willingness to be trained on and operate a reach truck, order picker, and stand‑up forklift. 1–2 years of inventory experience. Physical requirements: stand or walk up to 90 % of the shift; bend, squat, climb stairs; lift/reach up to 40 inches; lift up to 50 lb occasionally.
