Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardio Vascular ICU to provide high-quality care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Post Cardiac Surgery, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Valve Replacement/Repair, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT
• IV therapy including accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Medication administration: continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, procedural sedation administration, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• CVA/Acute Stroke Management, Lumbar drains, management of BiPAP/CPAP, care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of ABGs, suctioning, ventilator management, infection prevention, isolation precautions
• Phlebotomy, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification
• Experience with Epic
• Charge experience preferred
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above
