Plating Operator II

Position type : Temporary
Location : Greensboro, NC
Hours : 3rd shift, Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM - Overtime: Weekends as needed
Training : 1st shift for several weeks before transferring to 3rd shift
Pay rate : $15/hour

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate parts through plating processes, including setup and changeovers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on plating equipment.
• Check product quality using X-ray machines, gauges, vision systems, and other inspection equipment.
• Maintain plating baths, verify chemical levels, and mix chemicals as needed.
• Set up manufacturing links, laser and print stations, DI water systems, closed-loop evaporators, and vision systems.
• Identify and remove defective parts.
• Unload finished material and feed new material into the production process.
• Complete required plating-process paperwork.
• Transport completed products to shipping, using a forklift when authorized.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience or comparable vocational/on-the-job training.
• Ability to follow company policies and established procedures.
• Ability to recognize when a process deviation may be necessary.
• Duties are varied and semi-routine.
• Forklift experience may be helpful.
• Ability to work around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
