Licensed Vocational Nurse, LVN

Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit Gather and report patient data Carry out orders Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned or requested Requirements Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates Current BLS certification required; certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in providing nursing care under the direction of an RN, with a focus on patient data gathering, therapeutic procedures, and adherence to health policies.
