Lead Software Engineer

Prin. DevSecOps Software Lead (Contingent) Location: Aurora, CO, USA. Employment type: Contingent (contract awarded and customer funding). Onsite role. Travel to customer CONUS & OCONUS sites as required, but no more than 25%. U.S. citizenship required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have an active TS/SCI – Current security clearance prior to start date. Responsibilities Lead a team in the design, maintenance, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines. Enable automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments. Integrate security and quality controls throughout the pipeline. Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams. Ensure software delivery is reliable, secure, and scalable. Sign‑on bonus eligible. What You Will Learn Strengthen cloud deployment practices; improve overall delivery efficiency through automation; understand how security integrates with development and operations in a CI/CD environment; build and support pipelines that scale with organizational needs. Qualifications Experience leading the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices and tools. Experience using automated security tools such as SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning. Experience deploying applications in cloud environments. Ability to integrate automated testing, scanning, and quality gates into build and deployment workflows. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience. Active and transferable TS/SCI – Current clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Familiarity with cloud‑native deployment patterns and managed services. Knowledge of configuration management and environment automation. Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure‑by‑design practices.
