Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, employing standardized assessments and observational analysis.
• Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet immediate goals as well as develop long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing capabilities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionalities.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, patient families, and caregivers to ensure holistic care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families, promoting continuous progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to maintain continuity of therapy and treatment plans.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with various guidelines to ensure all records are maintained appropriately.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay at the forefront of advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
