Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for a Non Destructive Test Technician - Tech 3/4 - Shearography and Thermography for programs located in the Palmdale, CA facility within the Quality department.Responsibilities include:Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engines or components.Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods of shearography and thermography.Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.Basic Qualifications Level 3:High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of Non Destructive Test experience specifically in shearography and/or thermographyLevel II Certification in shearography and/or thermography methods in accordance with NAS-410Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spacesMust be willing to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work scheduleThis position requires an active DOD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsMust be able to pass medical evaluation including eye examBasic Qualifications Level 4:High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of Non Destructive Test experience specifically in shearography and/or thermographyLevel II Certification in shearography and/or thermography methods in accordance with NAS-410Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spacesMust be willing to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work scheduleThis position requires an active DOD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsMust be able to pass medical evaluation including eye examPreferred Qualifications:Certification in Multiple Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) Disciplines2 Year degree/certification from NDI Training InstitutionPrimary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
