Job Overview

• Summary: We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist with general stroke capabilities. The position involves an 8-hour workday, typically from 8 AM to 4 PM, along with evening on-call duties from 4 PM to 8 AM, and 24-hour on-call shifts during weekends.
  

• Schedule and Availability:

  • Orientation must be completed the day prior to the first scheduled shift, from 8 AM to 3 PM.
    

  • Coverage dates: 11/25 (8 AM) - 12/1 (8 AM)
    

  • Coverage dates: 12/22 (3 PM) - 12/31 (8 AM)
    

  • Work hours: 8 AM to 4 PM with evening on-call from 4 PM to 8 AM, and 24-hour weekend on-call.
    

• Required Procedures:

  • Our Interventional Radiology team performs a variety of procedures, including:

    • Diagnostic vascular interventions

    • Angiography - both venous and arterial

    • Therapeutic vascular interventions

    • Angioplasty - venous and arterial

    • Stenting (venous and arterial)

    • Thrombolytic therapy

    • Embolization therapy

    • Interventional procedures (body, non-neuro)

    • Vascular access devices/PICCs

    • Central line placements

    • Port-a-cath insertions

    • IVC filters

    • TIPS procedures

    • Aspiration and drainage procedures

    • Percutaneous needle biopsies (above and below diaphragm, and bone)

    • Extractions (biliary and renal)

    • Abscess drainage

    • Thoracentesis

    • Paracentesis

    • Myelography

    • Pain management procedures

    • Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram

    • Blood patch procedures

    • Joint and epidural injections

    • Vertebroplasty

    • Arthrograms

    • Chest tube insertions

    • Uterine artery embolization

    • Liver Y90/TACE procedures

    • Gastrostomy tube insertions

    • Nephrostomy and ureteral stent insertions

    • Renal fistulograms

    • Cryoablation

• Essential Skills: Experience in neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy is required.

• EMR System: Epic

• Licensure: Must hold a valid license in ND or IMLC.
