Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator IForklift Operator I is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records as required. Provides production departments with material from inventory according to production schedule. The working hours are 6sm- 3:30pm.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesMoves material in process from one station to another if necessaryBands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels materialMoves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouseAssist production with bottlenecks and other material needsProvides general preventive maintenance on equipmentCompletes pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and cleanCompletes production records as requiredFollows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policyParticipates in safety, CI and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma or GED preferred but not requiredMinimum 6 months of experience is required.Lumber experience preferredWorking knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferredSuccessfully complete Forklift Driver licensing processMust be at least 18 years of ageThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
