The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders, helping shape and communicate enterprise priorities, business transformation efforts, and company culture. This individual will partner closely with leaders across Human Resources, Technology, Facilities, Corporate Communications, and other key functions to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with Fanatics' vision, strategy, and values.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with exceptional storytelling capabilities and has a proven track record of leading complex communications programs in fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and lead Fanatics' global internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives, business priorities, and organizational culture.
- Serve as a strategic communications advisor to executive leadership, providing counsel on employee engagement, change management, organizational announcements, and business transformation initiatives.
- Lead communications planning and execution for major enterprise initiatives, including HR, technology, workplace, and operational transformations.
- Partner with Corporate Communications leadership to develop and execute executive visibility and thought leadership strategies, including media opportunities, speaking engagements, industry recognition programs, and strategic content development.
- Drive employee engagement through innovative communications channels, campaigns, events, and content strategies that foster connection, transparency, and alignment across the organization.
- Oversee internal communications channels and editorial strategy, including the company intranet, leadership communications, digital signage, and employee events.
- Lead communications support for Fanatics' social impact and nonprofit partnerships, including strategic storytelling, employee engagement initiatives, and external visibility opportunities.
- Establish communications metrics and measurement frameworks to evaluate effectiveness, identify opportunities, and continuously improve employee engagement and communications outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships across the organization and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and successful execution of key initiatives.
- Lead and mentor communications team members and external partners as the function continues to grow and evolve.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, including experience advising senior executives.
- Demonstrated success developing and leading enterprise-wide communications strategies within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders on sensitive, high-visibility communications matters.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences, channels, and business objectives.
- Experience leading communications for organizational change, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, or other large-scale initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop executive thought leadership programs and secure high-value speaking, media, and industry recognition opportunities.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging employee feedback, engagement data, and communications metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Outstanding leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while balancing multiple priorities and managing sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
