Position: Science Teacher (Secondary)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in the appropriate subject matter.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching.
- Ability to maintain and motivate the student population.
- Willingness to learn new techniques.
- Regular attendance is critical; must have an exemplary attendance record.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction coursework approved by the Taylor School District.
- Order and organize appropriate materials.
- Maintain attendance.
- Contact parents regarding student progress.
- Monitor students before and after classes.
- Maintenance of the classroom environment.
- Report any conflicts of difficulties with students for referrals to other services.
- Assist students with homework.
- Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal or designee.
Base Rate of Pay
Per TFT Contract [$50,335.00 - $103,422.00] years of experience will be taken into consideration.
