Position Summary This position is incumbent on a federal installation requiring a federal background investigation. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning meat room, floors, shampooing rugs, waxing, buffing, burnishing floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine custodial maintenance on machinery used in daily operations, notifying Servtech management of the need for repairs. Individuals may also clean snow or debris from sidewalk and operate large cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines and propane buffers. Responsibilities Cleaning Meat Room Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Strip and refinish floors. Operate scrub machines and propane buffers. Gather and empty trash; collect and remove cardboard; compact cardboard using baler; make cardboard bales and store them. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Serve, clean, and supply restrooms. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Sanitize and clean the meat room 2 to 3 days a week. Proper mixing of cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions to alleviate waste. Experience and Education High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Physical Requirements Trunk Strength – Using abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time. Manual Dexterity – Quickly moving hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Static Strength – Exerting maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. Flexibility – Bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching with body, arms, and/or legs. Schedule of Work Work weekends and holidays.
