Dispatcher, Public Safety - Part Time

Class Description Responsible for performing public safety communications and relatedclerical duties to support college wide communications, in acentralized dispatch center. Minimum Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older, with a High School Diploma or GEDand two years clerical and related experience. Must submit to and successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation. Prior experience as a dispatcher, police officer or fire fighter preferred. Class Specific Essential Duties Operates emergency telephones, two-way radios, telecommunications and computer terminal equipment, closed circuitcameras, college and public safety databases, alarm and securitysystems. Answers emergency telephone lines. Monitors and maintains radio communications. Receives and records information and requests related to police services.
