Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations by utilizing standardized testing tools and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that address both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Facilitate individualized speech therapy interventions that promote communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capacity.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to foster synergetic care solutions.
• Empower patients and their families with knowledge that enhances progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless care journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and provider regulations.
• Keep abreast of advancements within the field through ongoing education and interactions with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.
