Emergency Veterinarian

Join a Progressive Talented ER and Specialty Team on the warm, sunny coast of South Carolina! New River Veterinary Specialists is adding additional Emergency Doctors to expand our current team of 11 experienced emergency doctors. We are hiring for an overnight ER position as well as a day/swing shift ER position. Our ER is staffed with highly trained technicians and assistants along with 2 VTS in ECC. With NRVS, you work a fixed schedule year long, 3 day work week, 9-12 shifts per month, get out on time and have an amazing work-life balance! We believe that there should be no barriers between emergency doctors and specialists. Daily all-doctor case rounds provide opportunities for continuous learning. Emergency clinicians work side-by-side with our team of specialists with ample opportunity to manage critical care patients and benefit from our referral hospital environment. Our emergency clinicians do much more than just “see the door.” Complete diagnostic work-ups and manage complex cases, all with specialist support, and develop the skills to be a true critical care clinician! NRVS has a full in-house IDEXX lab, 16-slice helical CT, 1.5 tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology suite, multiple GE ultrasounds, in house blood bank and component therapy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, CO2 Laser, full service sports medicine and rehabilitation department, and a dedicated ICU including long-term mechanical ventilation and high flow oxygen. We are searching for an emergency clinician who enjoys working closely with other specialists and other emergency doctors and practices top-tier medicine. Our emergency department is fully staffed and works directly with our Criticalists 7 days a week. If you are experienced or even a new graduate our hospital’s support system allows you to learn and grow. This is accomplished with the full support of our DACVECCs and other specialists who love teaching and mentoring. We have a competitive ER salary and benefits package. We offer a high base salary with 25% production, no negative accrual, and an additional per-shift pay differentials ($500 bonus paid per overnight shift; $175 per swing shift).
