Anticipated Start Date: 6/1/2026 Location: Houston, TX Type of Employment: Contract Hire Job Summary This role is responsible for supporting piping design and drafting activities while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position involves preparing and reviewing design deliverables, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to project success through effective teamwork and communication. Candidates should have relevant piping design experience, including SP3D/S3D proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Job Description Proactive about learning new information and skills. Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization. Seeks feedback and uses it effectively. Has good understanding of the complete design and has good input into ways of improving the design. Utilize codes and standards to complete assignments. Recognize inefficiencies or misuse of symbology and questions. Identifies the customer’s both internally and externally. Handles various assignments, including weekly, monthly manner to meet schedule deadlines. Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity. Performs quality checks of the design in a team environment to ensure accuracy. Carries out assignments carefully while focused on details. Basic understanding of piping layouts and field drawings. Skills Required 2-10 years’ minimum relevant experience with SP3D/S3D. Receives limited instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignment from more experienced engineer. Adjusts to varying demands of work and performs well. Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Present ideas clearly and in professional manner. Participates on teams effectively. Accepts direction from the team. Individually contributes to success of the team. Supports project teams and departments in a positive and productive manner. Works well with other to accomplish common goals and objectives. Serves as point of contact for external or internal customers. Follows through on commitments made to internal and external customers. Able to manage multiple responsibilities with set expectations and meet deadlines. Intermediate CAD skills. Education / Training / Certifications Associate degree or High School diploma Additional Requirements Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
