Phlebotomist - Full Time, Nights (St. Mary)

Job Details Employment Type: Full‑time, Shift: Evening. St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid‑Atlantic, is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule: Full‑time Evenings. Responsibilities Collect blood samples from inpatients in a timely manner, deliver to the lab for testing. Use computers, centrifuges, and instrument lines for processing blood samples. Perform venipunctures and/or skin punctures using aseptic technique; verify patient identity and label specimens. Identify and label specimens for blood bank testing and other tests. Evaluate specimen adequacy, receive specimens in the computer, deliver to the appropriate department. Monitor inventory levels and follow protocol for re‑ordering supplies; delete or cancel orders as necessary with full documentation. Collate requests, answer the telephone, deliver specimens, operate pneumatic tube system. Demonstrate proper telephone etiquette and consistently assume responsibility for calls. Adapt work schedule to meet emergency staffing needs. Collect timed and stat tests within the designated time period. Maintain supplies, carts and workstations in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Phlebotomy certification or equivalent training.
