Legal Assistant — Fast-Paced Firm Admin with PTO & Bonus

A prestigious, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Detroit office on a hybrid basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support a dynamic group of attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Position Overview The Legal Assistant will provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys, ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of client matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, and travel arrangements Handle document management, including organizing electronic and physical files Assist with court filings, including e-filing in state and federal courts Coordinate with clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal teams Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date Track deadlines and support attorneys in meeting court and client requirements Enter and track attorney time, assist with billing coordination as needed Support general administrative functions, including expense reports and matter management Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant or administrative assistant in a law firm or professional services environment Strong knowledge of legal document formatting and court filing procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Additional Information: Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
