We are actively seeking an energetic and creative Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our team, with a commitment to working every other weekend. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership: Implement scheduled group and one-on-one programs that foster social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Resident Engagement: Spend meaningful time with residents, assisting with mobility and encouraging participation in a long-term care setting. Documentation: Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor resident behavior, reporting key observations to the nursing team. Coordination: Work with the Activities Director to plan creative events and manage holiday decorations. Logistics: Set up and break down activity areas, ensuring supplies are organized and inventoried. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Previous experience working in a long-term care facility. Training: An artistic background or previous instruction from a Certified Activity Consultant. Leadership: Proven ability to lead group programs and work effectively both independently and as part of a group. Physicality: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a high-energy, fast-paced workflow. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Availability: Flexibility to work full-time hours, including every other weekend. Preferred Skills Teamwork: A supportive team player who leads by example and contributes to a positive culture. Composure: Ability to maintain a positive attitude, exercise sound judgment, and remain composed in stressful situations.
