Mechanical Assembler

About the Role Körber Technologies, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Assembler to install, test, and maintain mechanical components and production equipment used in tobacco manufacturing. The role supports efficient, high‑quality production operations while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Assemble, align, and install mechanical components, subassemblies, and production parts for tobacco‑processing and packaging equipment Perform routine mechanical adjustments, calibrations, and preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment to complete accurate assemblies Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company specifications Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production teams to resolve mechanical issues and support continuous improvement efforts Maintain clear and accurate documentation of assembly work, inspections, and maintenance activities Follow all company safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and tobacco‑industry regulations Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards Participate in required training and cross‑training to support operational flexibility Manage logistics for plant tours, vendor visits, and customer visits Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred 1–3 years of mechanical assembly or maintenance experience in manufacturing Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Experience reading blueprints and technical documents Benefits Competitive salary Flexible working hours Paid vacation and vacation purchase program Sick days and paid holidays 401(k) plan with a 100% match up to 6% of base income Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans Basic life and disability insurance (short and long term) paid by employer Voluntary life insurance purchase program Training and development program Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity to all applicants.
