Job Full Description

OVERVIEW
Express is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & 5S Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position is responsible for facility appearance, painting, workplace organization, 5S initiatives, and minor maintenance projects to support operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, repair, and paint walls, floors, doors, equipment, and other facility surfaces.
Perform surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
Maintain floor markings, safety signage, labels, and visual controls.
Support 5S initiatives through workplace organization, labeling, and standardization.
Conduct facility inspections and assist with corrective actions.
Complete minor facility repairs and appearance improvement projects.
Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory used for facility upkeep.
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in painting, facilities maintenance, 5S, housekeeping, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation techniques.
Understanding of 5S principles and workplace organization practices.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, pressure washers, and hand tools.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work activities.
