Logistics Data Analyst

A growing organization is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics Data Analyst to serve as the data expert for its Logistics department. This role is responsible for transforming complex operational data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making, improve performance, and provide financial visibility across logistics operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving business problems through data analysis, identifying trends and root causes, and presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position plays a key role in supporting leadership through KPI reporting, dashboard development, operational analysis, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, risks, and operational opportunities
• Produce accurate, timely, and actionable reports to support leadership decisions
• Validate operational initiatives using performance data and analytics
• Perform financial and P&L analysis, including logistics costs and operational expenses
• Identify cost drivers, variances, savings opportunities, and cost leakage
• Build, maintain, and improve KPI dashboards and operational scorecards
• Develop recurring reports and perform ad hoc analysis as needed
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational and service issues
• Measure project performance before and after implementation
• Develop ROI analyses to support business decisions and process improvements
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reporting accuracy across multiple systems
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve data quality issues
• Document reporting logic, data definitions, and calculation methodologies
• Partner with Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to provide actionable insights

Qualifications:
• Strong analytical experience collecting, cleaning, organizing, and interpreting operational or financial data required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and KPI development preferred
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, or operations analytics preferred
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
