Mental Health Professional II – Masters The Mental Health Professional II delivers exceptional, patient‑focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho‑education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence‑based interventions in one‑to‑one, family, and group therapy. Responsibilities Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of psychiatric patients. Provide psycho‑education to patients and families, including treatment instructions. Facilitate individual, family, and group psycho‑educational and process groups using evidence‑based interventions. Develop and update treatment plans; attend ongoing treatment‑planning meetings. Conduct safety assessments of the environment and patients, report and respond to safety issues or changes in condition. Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement). Complete assessments, session notes, and all required documentation promptly and in compliance with policy. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and readiness; provide guidance on complex issues. Conduct post‑discharge follow‑up as indicated. Participate in community education, activities, and support groups as appropriate to scope. Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counseling, or related Human Services field. Advanced educational preparation or experience in clinical practice and/or management. Basic Cardiac Life Support (including American Heart Association BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training obtained within 30 days of hire. Fingerprint clearance required.
