Senior Accountant II
BridgeBio Pharma
BridgeBio Pharma seeks a Senior Accountant II to manage monthly financial close processes for assigned general ledger accounts, including complex items like debt, derivatives, and lease accounting. The role combines technical accounting expertise with cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close of assigned GL accounts including debt, royalties, derivatives, and lease accounting
- Prepare accounting close workpapers and analyses for accurate and timely expense and accrual recognition
- Review contracts and prepare journal entries with supporting documentation
- Reconcile GL accounts and prepare fluctuation analyses for assigned accounts
- Coordinate with business units on prepayment and accrual processes; prepare audit schedules and support SOX compliance
Requirements
- Accounting degree; CPA preferred
- 7+ years relevant experience in publicly traded companies or Big 4 firms
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with AI tools including ChatGPT and similar platforms
- Biotech industry experience preferred
