Part-Time HR Coordinator

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a part-time, contract-to-hire HR Coordinator on behalf of our client, a highly respected mission-driven media organization based in Austin, Texas . This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, people-focused professional who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain employee records and support HRIS administration, including data integrity and compliance activities. Provide administrative support related to policy development, compliance reporting, audits, and employee lifecycle processes. Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, escalating complex issues as needed. Assist with benefits administration activities, including enrollment and offboarding processes. Post and maintain job advertisements across multiple platforms. Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, and hiring logistics for active searches. Compile interview feedback and support communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Assist with fellowship and internship program recruitment activities. Serve as the initial point of contact for staff technology support requests, triaging issues and coordinating with external IT vendors. Coordinate procurement, setup, and distribution of laptops and equipment for new hires. Administer user credentials, SaaS subscriptions, and access management systems. Track IT support requests and assist with vendor coordination and reporting. Draft internal communications, organizational announcements, and employee updates. Support all-staff meeting logistics and maintain departmental calendars. Assist with employee recognition and engagement initiatives. Maintain office safety procedures and emergency preparedness documentation. Coordinate training logistics related to workplace safety and employee wellbeing initiatives. Maintain labor relations documentation, track key deadlines, and support labor-management meeting logistics. Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Office Administration, or a related field. Experience working with HRIS platforms and business technology systems. Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment.
