Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in schools
• Knowledge of elementary education processes and classroom routines
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and other staff
• Patience, reliability, and dedication to student success
• Flexibility to adapt to various classroom assignments (self-contained and general ed)
• Strong communication skills with students and staff
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or paraprofessional certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students’ individual needs as directed by the classroom teacher and IEP
• Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Provide instructional reinforcement for students in small groups or one-on-one
• Help with classroom management and organization
• Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers
• Guide students with social and behavioral skills as needed
• Participate in classroom activities, transitions, and routines
