Patient Advocate

To support a growing healthcare initiative, the remote Patient Advocate will assist patients with inquiries about health insurance plans, resolve eligibility discrepancies, and coordinate benefit claims resolution while providing exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities Assist patients in understanding their benefit plans and policies, directing them to appropriate service representatives as needed Resolve eligibility-related discrepancies by updating the practice management system with accurate information Act as a liaison between patients and internal departments, escalating complex issues to management as necessary Required qualifications High School Diploma or its equivalent At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of health insurance plans and benefit policies Experience with claims resolution and patient account management Ability to communicate effectively with patients and internal teams
