Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years ED RN experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (required); TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: General ED skill set including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This unit manages 34 beds and has 32 vertical care areas. The Emergency Department averages over 200 patients per day, making it a very busy and fast-paced environment. Care will be provided to patients of all ages, including those with heavy trauma stabilization, mental health issues, and substance dependency. Common diagnoses include stroke, respiratory illnesses, chest pain, abdominal pain, and DM/DKA. Patient ratios typically consist of 1:4 for RNs and LPNs, and 1:20 for CNAs. Nurses will be required to float to different facilities within the region as needs arise. Weekend rotations will be required every other weekend. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. You must be willing to adhere to a flexible schedule with variable shift times. Teamwork and collaboration are essential in this dynamic unit.
