Weekly pay: $2,164–$2,285 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 2x3 nights
Setting: hospital-based travel assignment

This travel assignment places an experienced respiratory therapist in a hospital setting, working within the respiratory care department. The assignment includes a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours and a night shift schedule. EMR used is Meditech.

Responsibilities
- Provide prescribed respiratory care to patients, including ventilator management and airway support
- Establish and adjust ventilator settings using metric-based principles of volume, flow, pressure, and timing
- Monitor patients for respiratory status changes; respond to life-threatening events and escalations
- Administer therapies (nebulized meds, aerosols, airway clearance techniques) per orders
- Perform examinations and assessments, document findings in the EMR, and communicate with the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists during rounds and care planning
- Ensure equipment safety, infection control, and adherence to policies and safety standards

Requirements
- NY State license to practice Respiratory Therapy
- RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- BLS and ACLS required; NRP and PALS preferred
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited school for Respiratory Care
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; EMR experience with Meditech preferred
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment with night shifts
