Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and customizing care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently (subject to credentialing)
• Informing patients and families on prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and treatments within the prescribed scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Cooperating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure unified, holistic care
• Meticulously documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Essentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
