Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Location: West Hollywood, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote) Industry: Fashion / Apparel Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support continued growth and oversee key aspects of the accounting function. This role reports directly to the CFO and partners closely with Sales, Planning, and Operations. The Accounting Manager will be a hands‑on leader responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, supporting the month‑end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. They will also lead and develop a small accounting team and help improve processes to scale with the business. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations Support the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Perform account reconciliations across key areas including cash, A/R, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts Support general ledger activities and maintain compliance with GAAP Assist with fixed assets, payroll, and accrual accounting processes Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking Financial Reporting & Analysis Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities Analyze financial data and support development of KPIs and performance metrics Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance internal controls Provide insights to help drive operational efficiency and financial performance Accounts Receivable & Billing Oversee the accounts receivable function, including maintaining A/R aging and monitoring collections Proactively reduce aged receivables through customer outreach and collection efforts Manage full‑cycle A/R activities, including invoicing, collections, credit memos, and adjustments Reconcile A/R subledger to the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactions Review and validate chargebacks, deductions, and customer claims Partner with Sales and customers to resolve discrepancies and improve cash flow Reconcile invoice details with fulfillment and shipping reports Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Support Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Senior Accountant and A/R personnel Partner with internal teams (Sales, Planning, Operations) to support business needs Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5‑7 years of accounting experience, preferably in fashion, retail, or consumer products Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite (or equivalent) Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals Experience managing accounts receivable and general ledger functions Background in high‑growth or entrepreneurial environments is a plus Skills & Competencies Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, hands‑on approach Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Collaborative, team‑oriented attitude Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 Bonus: 10% performance‑based Comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and sick leave Employee discount and clothing allowance Additional lifestyle benefits Work Environment Hybrid schedule (4 days in‑office, 1 day remote) Fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment Collaborative and team‑driven culture within a premium fashion brand Desired Skills and Experience Audit Financial Reporting Accounting Beacon Hill is an equal‑opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
