Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR RN Ortho Neuro

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator / RN Ortho Neuro to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support our commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care. In this role, you will serve as a key clinical leader and bedside expert on an orthopedic and neurology-focused unit, coordinating nursing care delivery for a diverse population of post-operative, musculoskeletal, spine, and neurological patients. Working closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff, you will help ensure safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator provides direct patient care as well as oversight and support for other nurses and clinical staff on the unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge plans. You will help manage daily workflow on the unit, assist with patient assignment and staffing coordination, support adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards, and promote effective communication across the interdisciplinary team.

Drawing on your orthopedic and neuro nursing experience, you will be involved in pain management, post-surgical care, mobility and fall-prevention strategies, neurological assessments, and monitoring for complications such as infections, DVT, and changes in neurological status. You will utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize care, escalate concerns, and advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes. As a clinical resource, you will mentor newer nurses, provide real-time coaching and feedback, and support a learning environment consistent with HCA Healthcare’s culture of professional development.

This position offers the opportunity to participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives related to orthopedic and neuro patient care, documentation practices, patient satisfaction, and throughput. You will collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, and help ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, acute-care environment.
